Travel advice: Special regulations for entries into France
When entering into France a negative PCR test is mandatory.
More
Any person aged 11 or over who is travelling into France must be able to present a negative PCR test for self-declaration. The test must have been carried out within 72 hours before travel.
Exceptions to this obligation are:
- Cross-border journeys less than 24 hours within a 30km radius of travellers' place of residence (local border traffic)
- Business trips for which carrying out such testing is impossible due to their urgency or frequency.
- Journeys made by professional drivers in the course of their work.
Travellers wishing to invoke one of the exceptions listed must be able to produce a document that validates their journey on these reasons.
